For those coming from countries for which a VISA is required, a tourist VISA is sufficient
AP-S/URSI 2024 strongly advises participants to personally check entry and visa requirements before making travel arrangements to Italy. There might be country-specific requirements that the participant should be aware of. For the most accurate information, please check the nearest Italian embassy/consulate.
Visa applications are the sole responsibility of the participants.
There are several visa types available, including tourist visas.
AP-S/URSI 2024 will NOT issue any Letter of Sponsorship or Letter of Guarantee if the participant is required to do so by the immigration department. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to obtain such documents.
AP-S/URSI 2024 cannot change the decision, nor will it appeal to any country’s embassy/consulate or any other government departments on behalf of the participant.
All questions/concerns regarding the status of a visa application should be directed to the nearest embassy/consulate of Italy.
All authors, including those from visa-waiver countries, should check Visa travel policies and requirements for entering Italy. More information can be found at the Visa information page on the conference website and at [https://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en] and [https://www.italia.it/en/italy/practical-information/travel-document-italy]. It can take several months for visas to be issued, so we recommend that you start the application process immediately.
